Breathe. Create. Connect.

Jean Keane is a community builder, artist, and yoga teacher who believes creativity is one of the simplest ways people connect.
After more than 30 years working with people, she started noticing something:
When people sit down together and make something—paint, knit, collage, anything—something shifts.
People relax.
They talk.
They feel like themselves again.
Age matters less.
Strangers become familiar.
That’s where The Art of Belonging began.
It’s not about being an artist.
It’s about creating spaces where people feel comfortable showing up as they are.
Through workshops, community gatherings, and shared creative experiences, The Art of Belonging brings together seniors, kids, families, and adults with disabilities—without labels, without pressure.
Just people, making things, side by side.
Art opens the door.
Connection grows.
Belonging follows.
Art opens the door.
Connection grows.
Belonging follows.

Creative Aging
Our Creative Aging workshops are designed for older adults who want to stay curious, connected, and creatively engaged. Each session blends simple, accessible art-making with gentle movement and mindfulness to support both emotional and cognitive well-being.
There’s no pressure to “be an artist”—just an invitation to explore, express, and enjoy the process in a welcoming, supportive space. These workshops are about more than creating art—they’re about staying connected to yourself and others as you continue to grow.

Intergenerational Art
Our intergenerational workshops bring people of all ages together to create, connect, and learn from one another. Through shared art experiences and light, accessible movement, we create space for meaningful interaction between generations.
These workshops are playful, heartfelt, and often surprising—reminding us that creativity has no age, and that connection happens naturally when we slow down and create side by side..

Community Workshops
Our community workshops are open to everyone—designed to be low-pressure, inclusive, and welcoming to all levels and abilities. Each session combines hands-on creative projects with moments of reflection and gentle movement, creating a space where people can relax, connect, and feel inspired.
Whether you come alone or with others, you’ll find a sense of belonging here. This is a space to try something new, meet people, and experience the simple joy of creating together..
Every gathering tells a story of connection. Here are some of the moments that remind us why this work matters.
